Goals

Complete, archive or delete a goal

Mark a goal completed, put it in the archive with its board and history, bring it back, or delete it for good.

Goals end in different ways: you reach them, you put them aside, or you decide they were never yours. Plannedo has a step for each.

Tick the checkbox in the top-right corner of the board (Mark completed). The board fades, its title is struck through, and it moves below your active goals.

A completed goal:

  • leaves the evening check-in on Today and the Goal pickers;
  • no longer gets Moved from linked tasks and habits;
  • keeps its board, which you can still edit.

To reopen it, tick the checkbox again (Mark active).

Click the goal’s title to open it, then Archive goal. A message with Undo appears for a few seconds.

Archived goals keep their boards and their history. Tasks and habits linked to them stay linked.

To see them, click the archive button at the top of the Goals screen (Archived goals). Archived goals are read-only there; each shows its cover image, note and a summary of its last weeks.

In the archive, click Restore. The goal returns to the end of your list with its board and history. On the Free plan you can restore it only if you have no other active goal.

A goal can only be deleted from the archive:

  1. Archive the goal.
  2. Open Archived goals and click the trash button (Delete permanently).
  3. Confirm.

The board, its images and the goal’s history are deleted and can’t be recovered. Linked tasks and habits are kept; they just lose the link.
